Clematis District & City Place
Downtown thrives culturally, with its vibrant neighborhood of institutions including the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Ballet Florida, Norton Museum of Art, Armory Art Center, Palm Beach Opera, the Fine Arts District, Palm Street Art Studios and Palm Beach Dramaworks. The district also boasts The Dreyfoos School of the Arts, one of the most prestigious public arts magnet program high schools in the region.
Residents, tourists and guests enjoy a multitude of entertainment options, including the weekly street party called Clematis by Night that takes place at the historic Centennial Fountain every Thursday; and Sunday at the Meyer, where performers showcase their talents at the waterfront amphitheatre. The annual Marathon of the Palm Beaches, held in December, leads participants through a 26.2 mile run along the Intracoastal, and SunFest, scheduled the first week in May, is the largest music, art and waterfront festival in Florida. The Palm Beach Boat Show in March is one of the top 10 shows in the country and features more than $300 million worth of floating dreams! There are a myriad of other weekly music, cultural and family-friendly happenings, ensuring that Downtown is a place for everyone.
