Michelle Pommier Opens Development Center for Models in the Clematis District

Michele Pommier, one of the best known names in the modeling industry around the world, has announced plans to open a development center for models at 221 Clematis St., Suite 400 in Downtown West Palm Beach. Pommier, who has anchored the Miami modeling scene for 30 years, has represented an impressive roster of talent including actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones and Charlize Theron and world-renowned supermodels Christy Turlington and Elsa Benitez.

A pioneer in the South Florida modeling industry, Pommier opened her Miami location in 1979. She had established roots in South Florida before its explosion in popularity. She is confident that Downtown West Palm Beach is the next big opportunity.

"The momentum in Downtown West Palm Beach right now is amazing. You can feel the energy and excitement. The location will keep growing over the next few years," Pommier said. " I am so comfortable here and there's such a good vibe - very SoHo, very boutique-y. We're excited to bring more glamour and style to the neighborhood!"

Pommier sold her Miami Beach modeling business in 2000, and later re-opened a smaller boutique modeling agency in Miami. The more intimate structure of the boutqiue enables the staff to work closely with models to help them advance their careers. The new Clematis location will focus on the development of new models. Always in search of the next fresh face, Pommier plans to scout in the West Palm Beach area adn host regular model searches and fashion shows at nearby Clematis District establishments.

To start off her search for the next hottest face in fashion, Michele attended the Downtown Fashion Rocks Fashion Show that took place on Friday, April 4th at 8:30pm inside Dr. Feelgoods. The event which was produced by the Fashion Management Program at Lynn University, was a great success in which hundreds of people attended for a high fashion, rock n' roll event.
